Sadie's Winter WEar - dressing well for the weather, not just her owner

Little Blue Riding Hood

Sadie has several sweaters but this is my favorite. Since Sadie has a long body but is very skinny (like a whippet), it's hard to find one that fits and isn't ugly. Ok, so dogs don't get much use out of the hood but how cute! Of course the hood was quickly ripped off during play with another dog. Now it is more of a "Dress Up" sweater than a run around and play sweater.

Waterproof Jacket

This jacket is great. It is waterproof on the outside, fleece on the inside. Sizing was a bit difficult once again due to Sadie's long but thin body but in this situation we went for the big jacket so she'd be covered. The jacket seems to have a snowboarder jacket look to it so it's not only practical but stylish too!

Of course we can't forget the booties. Now these really are important for dogs because any dog owner knows that when it snows and the roads are salted this hurts a dog's paw pads. The booties are great for protecting the pads from the salt but they don't work so well for walking in snow deeper than they are high - the booties are easily lost.

Brown Suede Jacket

This is Sadie's out on the town jacket. Of course when Sadie goes out on the town it usually means she will be sitting in the car waiting for me somewhere. This jacket keeps her warm and of course helps her look great while waiting.

Not that Sadie doesn't like her outfits but I often find her clothes half off her when I get to the car, such as in this picture where the jacket is hanging around her neck more like a bib than a jacket.
